Asphalt 8: Airborne On Its Way to Android on August 8
During the latest Google event while showcasing the new Nexus 7 tablet and the updated Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS, Google gave a quick presentation of Asphalt 8: Airborne, a highly anticipated Android game. Not only that, they also revealed the release date. Players and racing genre enthusiasts should mark their calendar on August 8, 2013, when the latest installment of the Asphalt series hits the road.
Its predecessor, Asphalt 7: Heat, has made our list of the 5 best Android racing games and after seeing the screenshots and trailer of the new game, looks like Gameloft has given it an overhaul. The physics engine is brand-new, and they claim that you will really feel like you are in the driver seat. Just like the previous Asphalt games, you can pull off outrageous stunts, crash into objects that gets in your way, and get tons of air off ramps.
I’m excited for its multiplayer mode and can’t wait to challenge my friends. The Takedown mode is also returning, and a couple of other game modes will be introduced. Watch out for our review of Asphalt 8: Airborne here at GameWoof once we get our hands on the Android game. For now, you can check the screenshots and trailer below:
